FAQ
Frequently asked. Honestly answered.
Pricing, compliance, security, contracts, GPU access, support. If the answer you need isn't here, the chatbot or a 15-minute scoping call will close the gap.
Pricing & contracts
- Hosting tiers start at $199/mo (Starter), $649/mo (Pro), $1,890/mo (Scale). One-time builds typically run $4,200–$48,000 depending on scope. Azure Local deployments run $185k–$720k. Run the estimator for a number tied to your project.
- No. Bandwidth is included up to the published cap of each tier. We warn (not bill) at 80% of cap and offer to upgrade. This is the single largest line-item difference vs AWS / Azure / GCP for most workloads.
- Annual default. Month-to-month available at +20%. Multi-year contracts earn discounts. Cancel any time with 30 days notice on annual; you take your code with you.
- List pricing covers SMB / mid-market. Enterprise deals (250+ seats, 6-figure ACV) are quoted per engagement and reviewed quarterly. See /enterprise for the procurement flow.
- ACH, wire, credit card (subject to surcharge above $5k/mo). PO-based billing on annual contracts. Stripe checkout for marketplace items under $5k.

Build & Host engagements
- Yes. Median across Q1 2026 was 1h 38m from kickoff to live URL. The longest in scope was 2h 14m. Larger projects ship in two sessions but each session lives in hours, not weeks.
- Scoping call, design, AI-accelerated implementation, container build, deploy to Ultiblob private cloud, TLS, edge, monitoring, daily backups, handover documentation, and 30 days of post-launch engineering support.
- Yes. Your Git repository, your IP, your data. Ultiblob hosts it; you can leave with the code anytime — including to a competing hyperscaler if that's where you want to go.
- Yes if it's containerizable. We default to Next.js + Postgres + Docker (the same stack this website runs on), but we ship Python/FastAPI, Go, Rails, Laravel, and Java workloads regularly.

Private cloud & infrastructure
- DeSoto, TX (primary US-South region) and Flint, MI (US-North geo-paired region). Both Tier-III facilities with N+1 cooling, A/B power, carrier-neutral interconnect.
- Yes, under NDA, with two business days' notice. Customers and prospective customers welcome at both locations.
- Today, US-only. A Canadian region is on the 2027 roadmap. For European customers, we partner with sovereign EU operators case-by-case.
- Single-tenant compute, dedicated VLANs per customer, customer-isolated storage volumes. No shared CPU, no shared NICs, no noisy neighbors. This is the foundational difference vs hyperscaler VMs.
- Yes — colo arrangements are available case-by-case, primarily for Azure Local deployments where customers want to own the hardware and have Ultiblob operate it.

Compliance & security
- Yes. Every healthcare engagement starts with a BAA on signature. Our template is built off OCR guidance and reviewed by outside counsel annually.
- SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress with a Q3 2026 report target. Interim attestations available under NDA today. We map Ultiblob platform controls to Trust Services Criteria in the pre-audit readiness guide on /resources.
- PCI-aware infrastructure: network segmentation, tokenization patterns, quarterly external scans available. We partner with your QSA on the application side and own the infrastructure controls.
- No. Customer data is never used for training. Our DPA is explicit. The subprocessor list (including Anthropic) is published on /trust.
- Yes, on Scale tier and above. HSM-backed key management available; rotation under customer control.

AI & GPU infrastructure
- Yes. NVIDIA H100 (8×) and L40S (4×) dedicated nodes available. Lease (monthly) or purchase via marketplace. L40S lead time typically 2 business days; H100 builds 2-4 weeks (buffer capacity for short-term overflow).
- First-class Claude API on Pro and Scale tiers with prompt caching enabled by default. Typical 50-70% token cost reduction on RAG workloads. Customer-held API key option available.
- Yes. Llama, Mistral, fine-tuned variants, custom architectures — all supported. We tune the inference runtime (vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, llama.cpp) for your weights.

Support & operations
- Email support 24-hour SLA on Starter. Phone + chat 30-min SLA on Pro. 24/7 NOC with 15-min P1 SLA on Scale. Enterprise customers get named SLAs in the MSA.
- AI agents handle detection (parsing telemetry into incidents), remediation (executing known-good runbooks), and reporting (drafting customer comms, tickets, compliance evidence). Senior engineers handle trade-offs — every customer-impacting change goes through a human.
- Yes on Scale tier and above (dedicated Customer Success Engineer). Pro tier customers get pooled 24/7 support with quarterly business reviews.
- Sub-5-minute P50 acknowledgment. Auto-remediation for known signatures. Senior engineer on every escalation. Full incident post-mortems shared with customers within 5 business days.
